CABLE CLUTCH CONTROL LEVER
LENGTH 11" - 28 CM
The clutch cable connects the clutch pedal directly to the clutch fork. This cable is used on post-war Willys Jeep models such as CJ-2A, CJ-3A, CJ-3B, CJ-5, M38, M38A1 and ensures proper clutch operation without excessive wear or play.
- Application: Willys CJ-2A, CJ-3A, CJ-3B, CJ-5, M38, M38A1
- Total length: approx. 11 inches (per original specification)
- Position: From pedal arm to clutch fork
- Adjustable: Yes – via threaded rod and locknut
- Ends: One eye (pedal side), one hook or clevis (fork side)
- Material: Braided steel with rubber or vinyl sheath
- Cable diameter: ± 6 mm
- Free pedal travel: ± 1 inch (per TM 9-8015-1)
The cable runs along the engine side and is mounted between the pedal linkage in the engine bay and the clutch fork. Its flexible construction absorbs chassis movement without affecting clutch function.
The cable must be properly adjusted to ensure correct pedal free play and full clutch disengagement without slippage or premature wear.
This part is intended for the restoration of historic military vehicles. Fitting, aligning, deburring or reworking is part of that work and is inherent to the nature of these goods. Dimensional variation also exists between original vehicles.
