Application
Suitable for Willys MB (1941-1945) and Ford GPW (1941-1945). Also applicable to Hotchkiss M201. Mounted on the wheelhouses in the rear section of the body where the rear legs of the seat frame rest.
Installation notes
Mount one bracket on the left and one on the right onto the pre-drilled holes in the wheelhouses. The rear legs of the seat frame rest in these brackets and can rotate there when the rear seat is folded up. Used together with A-2945 (pivot retainer) and A-2830 (rear seat retaining spring) for complete mounting of the rear seat frame.
Compatibility
Fits all Willys MB and Ford GPW production years 1941-1945. Also suitable for Hotchkiss M201. Not interchangeable with later CJ models which use a different rear seat mounting system.
Historical context
During WWII, the rear seat of the Willys MB and Ford GPW was designed to fold forward to provide space for cargo or radio equipment. These pivot brackets formed the hinge point of that system.
