The bracket is mounted with the pin facing forward (towards vehicle front). The two holes in the bracket allow the same bracket to be used on either left or right — the position of the pin determines left or right. Mount with three bolts through the body. Measure the position carefully: the upper bolt is located 1 3/16 inch below the top edge of the body.
Compatibility
Caution: identical bracket can be used on left or right side, depending on pin position. For the left side, the pin must point forward when the bracket is mounted on the left. Not suitable for M38 or later civilian models — these have different mounting points.
