This bracket was fitted to early post-war jeeps such as CJ-2A (1946-1949), CJ-3A (1949-1953) and M38 (1950-1952). Note: on most CJ-2A models, some modification may be required for correct fitment. For M38A1, a different variant was used with Willys part number 805518.

The bracket is fitted between the rear and intermediate crossmember. Fitting can be by riveting (original) or bolting. On CJ-2A models, the mounting holes may need to be drilled. Important when using a heavy tow hitch for recovery or towing work.
