★ This additive is specially developed for restoration and maintenance of classic military and civilian jeeps. Use according to recommended dosage when renewing transmission or transfer case oil.

Application

Suitable for T-90 transmissions and Dana 18 transfer cases as fitted in CJ-2A (1945-1949), CJ-3A (1949-1953), CJ-3B (1953-1968), M38 (1950-1952) and M38A1 (1952-1971) vehicles. Can be added during oil renewal or as a maintenance treatment.

Installation notes

Add dosage according to manufacturer specification when renewing transmission or transfer case oil. For optimal results: allow vehicle to run for 15-30 minutes in neutral after adding to ensure proper distribution of additive. Avoid overfilling — may cause increased pressure and leakage.

Compatibility

Use exclusively in transmissions and transfer cases with GL-4 specification oil. NOT suitable for differentials (these require GL-5 oil). Do not mix with synthetic oil without first consulting manufacturer instructions. If in doubt about current oil type: first flush system with light engine oil, then fill with correct transmission oil and additive.

Historical context

Transmission additives were developed from the 1950s onwards to prevent leakage and wear in older gearboxes. Particularly for classic jeeps with T-90 transmissions and Dana 18 transfer cases, these compounds help to keep original rubber and felt seals supple and leak-free.
