Installation notes

The axe is mounted with an axe bracket to the body and secured with a leather strap through footman loops. The axe blade fits into a metal protective sheath (axe sheath) mounted to the side of the vehicle. On MB/GPW driver's side, on M38 passenger side.

Compatibility

Suitable for vehicles with standard pioneer tool mounting. Please note: early jeeps (Ford Script GPW, Willys Slatgrill MB) used a shorter bracket with 2 mounting holes; from early 1942 onwards, a longer bracket with 4 holes was used for longer axe heads.
