PULLEY, CRANKSHAFT (TWIN V-BELT)
Crankshaft pulley specific for CJ-jeeps and for MB GPW with T1 air compressor and capstan winch.
The 3 upright lips are for the capstan winch drive.
Crankshaft pulley, double V-belt groove
For 134 ci L-Head and F-Head engines
Professional replacement pulley for the crankshaft with double V-belt groove. This pulley is designed for applications with multiple drive belts, such as governor drive or air compressor installations. Suitable for both L-Head 'Go Devil' and F-Head 'Hurricane' 134 ci engines.

Features
- Two V-belt grooves of different widths

- Narrow groove for governor or auxiliary drive
- Suitable for L-Head and F-Head engines
- Requires correct key and installation procedure
★ Reproduction to original specifications for professional restoration of WWII and post-war jeeps with 134 ci engine.
Application
This pulley is used on vehicles with dual belt drive. Originally fitted to CJ models with governor drive, and on military variants with air compressor kit (PE-95 engines). The two grooves deliberately have different widths: the wide groove drives the fan and generator, the narrower groove is for governor or auxiliary equipment.
Installation notes
Please note: many reproduction pulleys require machining of the centre bore for correct fitting on the crankshaft. Check the diameter of your crankshaft beforehand. On late engines with gear-driven timing, slight modification of the timing cover may be required for full seating. Use a suitable pulley puller for removal of the old pulley. The pulley is fitted by press fit and secured with a key in the crankshaft.
Compatibility
IMPORTANT: This pulley is NOT suitable for M38 and M38A1 models — these vehicles use a smaller double pulley with two equal grooves. Suitable for vehicles with 134 ci engine (1941-1971) that originally had a double pulley. Can also be used as a conversion on vehicles that originally had a single groove, provided the correct belts and tensioners are fitted.
Historical context
The double crankshaft pulley was used during WWII on special versions of the MB/GPW with air compressor kit, and on PE-95 engines with governor. In the post-war CJ series, the double pulley was standard on versions with belt-driven governor for speed control.
