The bracket mounts using three cylinder head bolts on the passenger side of the engine. These bolts must be removed, the bracket positioned and the bolts retightened. The oil filter canister is then secured to the bracket with two C-clamps. Note: some reproductions may have burrs along the edges — finishing may be required for optimal fit.
Compatibility
ONLY for L-head (flathead) 4-134 engines. NOT suitable for F-head engines from later CJ-3A, CJ-3B or later M38A1 vehicles. Check whether your engine has an L-head (valves in block) or F-head (valves in head) configuration.
