Installation notes

Check the crankshaft journal diameter with a micrometer before ordering bearings. Main bearing journals standard size: 2.334". 050" undersize: 2.284". Bearing clearance must be 0.001". Torque for main bearing caps: 65-75 ft-lbs. Check oil pressure after installation.

Compatibility

Only suitable for crankshafts ground exactly to 0.050" undersize. Not compatible with standard or other undersize dimensions (0.010", 0.020", 0.030", 0.040", 0.060"). Before ordering: measure the crankshaft journal diameter accurately.

Historical context

The 134ci 'Go Devil' engine was the beating heart of the Willys MB and Ford GPW during WWII. Undersize bearings made it possible to recondition and return to service engines with worn crankshafts under field conditions.
