Hose clamp is fitted around the flexible rubber hose at the desired position. Ensure the hose is correctly seated on the connection points before tightening the clamp. Check for air leaks in the air cleaner system after fitting.

Fits vehicles with oil bath air cleaner and late-type air cleaner system (from March 1942). Not suitable for early 'pancake' air cleaners (MB serial numbers below 124308). On early models with road draft tube ventilation the configuration differs.
