★ Reproduction of the original fuel filter system as fitted to WWII Ford GPW and Willys MB jeeps. Provides reliable fuel filtration for optimum engine performance.

Application

Suitable for Ford GPW (1942-1945), Willys MB (1941-1945) and Hotchkiss M201 vehicles. The fuel filter was mounted on the firewall and filters the fuel between the tank and fuel pump. On the Ford GPW this was the standard system throughout production.

Installation notes

The filter is mounted on the firewall with two fixing bolts. Connect the fuel line from the tank to the inlet and the line to the fuel pump to the outlet. Ensure all gaskets are correctly positioned to prevent air leaks — a leaking connection will prevent fuel delivery. The filter element is located at the bottom of the bowl.

Compatibility

This is the Ford GPW version. Willys MB used the same type of fuel filter but sometimes had different markings (WO-A1255 instead of GPW-9155-A). The filter element is interchangeable between both makes. Not compatible with early Ford GP models which used a different AC-type filter.

Historical context

The AC T2 fuel filter system was fitted on the firewall of virtually all Ford GPW and Willys MB jeeps produced during WWII. The brass laminated element filtered dirt, rust and sediment from the fuel before it reached the carburettor.
