Application
This 24V fuel gauge is designed for military jeeps originally equipped or converted to a 24 volt electrical system. Please note: this gauge is NOT suitable for 6V or 12V systems — use A8184-6 for 6V systems and A8184-12 for 12V systems.
Installation notes
Requires a 2" (50.8 mm) dashboard opening. Housing is earthed via mounting bracket to chassis. Works together with fuel sender (0-40 ohm range) in the fuel tank. Check before installation that both fuel tank and chassis are properly earthed — without proper earth, the system will not function correctly.
Compatibility
Works exclusively with 24 volt electrical systems. Requires a fuel sender with 0-40 ohm range (0 ohm = empty, 40 ohm = full). Not compatible with 6V or 12V systems. When using on vehicles with Packard-type connections: ensure correct wiring according to the technical manual.
