Primarily intended for Hotchkiss M201 (1955-1966) with 24-volt electrical system. Also applicable as a conversion part for M38, M38A1, CJ-2A or CJ-3A being converted to 24-volt ignition with waterproof housing.

Check that the distributor shaft engages correctly in the oil pump drive before fully tightening the distributor. The ventilation rubbers (top and bottom) must absolutely be connected – without this ventilation, the internal coil runs too hot and ignition failure occurs. Set the ignition timing according to factory specifications.
Compatibility
NOT interchangeable with standard 6V or 12V distributors without complete electrical modification. The M38/M38A1 originally had a different type of 24V distributor (Auto-Lite IAU-4006, not waterproof). The CJ-2A and CJ-3A were originally 6V – this distributor is only usable after complete conversion to 24V system.
