★ Accurate reproduction of the original Ford junction block, manufactured from vulcanised fibre like the original GPW components. The difference from Willys MB blocks (phenolic resin with paper layers) makes this block specifically suitable for authentic Ford GPW restorations.
Installation notes
Secure the junction block to the firewall on the left-hand side, level with the driver. The block provides connections for headlamp, horn, main/dipped beam and rear lamp to the main switch.
Compatibility
This Ford GPW junction block is manufactured from vulcanised fibre, the characteristic material used by Ford. Willys MB junction blocks are made from phenolic resin with paper reinforcement and have a different finish. Ensure the correct type for an authentic restoration.
Historical context
Ford used vulcanised fibre for the GPW junction blocks, a material less susceptible to moisture than the phenolic resin version used by Willys. These material differences are characteristic of the production methods of both manufacturers during WWII.
