HORN VIBRATION MOUNT - GPW STYLE
Exact reproduction of the GPW style Horn Vibration Mount.
Horn Vibration Mount GPW Style
Rubber-metal mount between horn and firewall bracket
Vibration damper for mounting the Sparton horn to the firewall bracket. This reproduction is executed in GPW style with pressed ribs, as originally fitted to Ford GPW vehicles. The laminated rubber-metal element absorbs engine vibrations and protects the horn from damage.

Features
- GPW style with characteristic pressed ribs
- Laminated rubber-metal construction for optimal damping
- Fits between firewall bracket (A1389) and horn
- Prevents horn damage from engine vibrations
- Reproduction to original specifications
★ Exact reproduction of the GPW variant with pressed rib, as originally fitted by Ford. Essential component for correct horn installation.
Application
Ford GPW (1941-1945). Note: an MB variant without pressed rib also exists for Willys MB and early CJ-2A up to serial number 51228. Check which style suits your vehicle.
Installation notes
The vibration mount is fitted between the firewall bracket (A1389) and the horn itself. Secure with two 1/4-20 UNF bolts with retaining rings through the laminated U-shaped bracket. Tighten bolts hand-tight — do not overtighten, so the rubber can retain its damping function.
Compatibility
Specific to GPW style with pressed rib. NOT interchangeable with the MB variant which has a flatter construction. Early CJ-2A (up to serial number 51228) used the MB style. Later CJ models have a different mounting method.
Historical context
Both Willys and Ford developed their own variants of the horn vibration mount. The GPW version with pressed reinforcement rib was Ford's solution to protect the sensitive Sparton horn from damage caused by engine vibrations under harsh operational conditions.
