This rubber grommet set was used on early production vehicles from start of production until August/September 1942. From mid-1943 onwards, due to rubber shortages, felt versions were adopted. This set is suitable for vehicles restored to original early configuration.
Installation notes
Only fit the grommets AFTER all cables and lines have been pulled through — they are installed last. Check that all feed-through openings in the firewall are clean and free from burrs. Press the grommets firmly into the pre-drilled holes; use a little soap or assembly paste if necessary to prevent damage.
Compatibility
Note: this is the rubber version for early models. Late production vehicles (from mid-1943 onwards) used felt grommets due to material shortages during the war. Check which version matches the serial number of your restoration.
