Transfer case lever boot – rubber version

For Dana 18 transfer case with dual levers

Rubber boot that fits over both shift levers of the Dana 18 transfer case. Prevents ingress of dust, water and dirt through the floor plate opening. Secured with a metal retainer ring (sold separately).

Material

Rubber

Application

Dana 18 transfer case

Type

Dual lever (twin stick)

Fitting

With metal retainer ring

Features

  • Rubber construction for durability
  • For Dana 18 transfer case with twin shift levers
  • Prevents ingress of dirt and moisture
  • Secured with metal retainer ring (not included)
  • Replaces original part number A-3784

★ Reproduction of the classic transfer case boot in hard-wearing rubber. Essential component for proper sealing of the floor plate at the transfer case levers.

Application

Suitable for vehicles fitted with Dana 18 transfer case and dual shift levers (twin stick configuration). Note: the retainer ring must be ordered separately and is secured to the floor plate with screws.

Installation notes

Installation requires removal of the shift lever knobs (unscrew). Slide the boot over both levers, position the metal retainer ring and secure with suitable screws to the floor plate. Check that the boot does not bind on the levers and allows free movement.

Compatibility

For Dana 18 transfer case with dual levers only. Not suitable for 3-lever configurations (with PTO). Different retainer rings exist for early/late models — check the mounting holes in your floor plate.

Historical context

During WWII, from mid-1942 onwards, due to rubber shortage, this boot changed from rubber (A-2914) to leather (A-3784). Modern reproductions are again in rubber for extended service life.
