The poppet plugs, springs and balls are located on both sides of the front bearing cap. Remove the plugs to replace the old balls and springs. During assembly, do not overtighten the plug — this controls the preload on the detent. Test the shift operation before the plug is finally secured.

For Dana 18 transfer case only. Not compatible with Dana 20 or Dana 300. Note: 5/16 inch poppet balls also fit certain transmissions (T90, T86AA), but this is specifically the transfer case set.
