★ Steel replacement frame manufactured to original military specifications. Supplied in protective red primer — after fitting, finish in Olive Drab 319 (lusterless) for authentic appearance.

Application

Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1942-1945) and Hotchkiss M201 (1955-1967). Fits all standard production vehicles with split-screen windscreen and hinged frame system.

Installation notes

Frame is supplied without glass, rubbers and hardware. Windscreen glass (split, 2-piece), sealing rubbers, hinge bolts, latches and wiper mounting must be purchased separately. Check fit of all existing mounting points on body and cowl before fitting. Hinges and pivot brackets must be greased for smooth operation. After fitting, finish in correct lusterless OD for durable protection.

Compatibility

This frame does NOT fit early 'short windshield' MB variants (serial numbers below approx. 000, built before end of 1941). Also not compatible with post-war civilian CJ-2A or later models — these use different latch and hinge constructions.

Historical context

The iconic split-screen windscreen of the military jeep was one of the most recognisable features of the vehicle. The hinged design allowed the windscreen to be folded down onto the bonnet for unobstructed vision during combat operations.
