Features
- WW2 specification with shorter sealing lip
- Fitted with pre-drilled mounting holes
- Supplied complete with mounting screws
- Original part number: WOA2250
- 15 screws required for fitting
★ Authentic WW2 profile for correct sealing between windscreen frame and cowl. Suitable for military restorations to original specifications.
Application
Suitable for Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945) and Hotchkiss M201. Mounts to the bottom of the outer windscreen frame where it seals against the body (cowl).
Installation notes
The strip is fixed with 15 screws (1/2 inch No. 10 binding head sheet metal screws) to the bottom of the windscreen frame. The strip has pre-drilled holes that correspond with the fixing points. The sealing lip faces rearward (towards passenger) and rests against the top of the cowl. Light silicone spray may ease fitting.
Compatibility
Note: this is the WW2 variant with shorter lip. Later post-war models used a seal with longer lip. Not to be confused with A-2250 (inner-to-outer windshield frame seal) or A-2479 (windshield glass seal). For complete windscreen sealing, three different rubbers are required: cowl seal (WOA2250), frame seal (A-2250) and glass seals (A-2479, 2 pieces).
Historical context
This weatherstrip follows the original WW2 specification as applied to Willys MB and Ford GPW jeeps during the Second World War. The shorter lip distinguishes the early military version from later civilian and post-war variants.
