The hinge is fitted to the inside of the body onto the tapping plate (threaded plate) with three screws. Before fitting, check that the tapping plate is correctly positioned and spot-welded if necessary. On reproduction bodies, the screw holes may sometimes not be perfectly aligned — enlarge the holes slightly if required.
Compatibility
Note: early slat-grille models used two separate hinges per lid, later models had one hinge welded to the lid. Check your original configuration before ordering.
