★ Reproduction of the original component to WWII specifications. Fitted with correct welded tapped block — a detail often missing on inferior reproductions.

Application

Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945), Hotchkiss M201. Also used on later civilian models: CJ-2A (1945-1949), CJ-3A (1948-1953), CJ-3B (1953-1964) and M38.

Installation notes

Bracket is bolted to the cowl with multiple 1/4" bolts. The shoulder bolt (pivot bolt) passes through the bracket and forms the hinge point for the windscreen. The welded tapped block serves for the thumbscrew that locks the windscreen in upright position. Note: this block is sometimes welded, sometimes broken off — check this before fitting.

Compatibility

This bracket fits all WWII jeeps (MB/GPW) and Hotchkiss M201. Note: there are variants with and without correct welded tapped block. Original brackets have 3/8"-24 thread in the tapped block. If the block is missing, this can be repaired by tapping and welding a new piece of sheet steel.

Historical context

The windshield pivot bracket A-2213 was produced during WWII by Willys-Overland and Ford for mounting the folding windscreen — a distinctive feature of the military jeep that enabled rapid adaptation to combat conditions.
