Willys CJ-3A (1949-1953), Willys M38 (1950-1952), Willys CJ-3B (1953-1964) fitted with 9 inch brakes, steel S-tubes and 90-degree wheel cylinders. The short 7" hose runs from the frame to the steel S-tube at the wheel cylinder. Not suitable for later systems without S-tubes or with 60-degree wheel cylinders.
Installation notes
Fit with copper crush washers on the threaded connections. Check that the hose is not strained or kinked at full steering lock. Secure the hose with the original retaining clip (WO-637427) to hold the female fitting in place. Bleed the brake system thoroughly after fitting.
Compatibility
ONLY for vehicles with steel S-tubes and 90° wheel cylinders. Later CJ-5, M38A1 and CJ-3B models often used 60° cylinders without S-tubes — for those vehicles a longer 12-1/4" hose is required. Check your brake configuration before ordering.
