★ These felt draught seals are the original correct version for WWII-period vehicles. Fits on the interior side of the firewall, with the pedal spring pressing the felt ring against the floor pan when the pedal is not in use.
Installation notes
Fit to the rear of the firewall (interior of cab). Order: slide spring over pedal shaft, washer, then felt ring. The pedal spring holds the felt ring pressed against the floor pan when the pedal is at rest. When fitting pedal pads: check that the brake light switch still functions correctly.
Compatibility
Felt version is period-correct for WWII vehicles and early post-war models. Later, rubber versions were also used which may seal better over time, but felt is the original specification.
