★ Authentic reproduction of the round mudguard as used on military 1/4 ton trailers during WWII. Precise fit for reliable restorations.

Application

Suitable for WWII-era 1/4 ton military trailers with round mudguards, including Willys MBT trailers (1942-1945) and Bantam T3 trailers. Note: the later M416 trailer (Vietnam-era) used square mudguards and is not compatible.

Installation notes

Fitting is carried out via the original mounting holes in the trailer frame. Mudguards are mounted on the outside of the frame. Check before fitting that all mounting points on the frame are intact.

Compatibility

NOT compatible with M416 trailers — these have square mudguards. Willys MBT and Bantam T3 trailers both used round mudguards and are compatible. M100 trailers (Korea-era) also had round mudguards.

Historical context

During WWII, Willys-Overland produced approximately 60,000 MBT trailers and Bantam approximately 75,000 T3 trailers. These compact trailers with their characteristic round mudguards carried essential supplies behind the Willys MB and Ford GPW jeeps.
