★ Authentic reproduction of WWII US Army combat suspenders, manufactured to original specifications with durable cotton webbing and solid metal fittings.

Application

US Army WWII infantry, paratroopers, tank crews and other units. Used by soldiers not wearing the M1928 haversack but required to carry field equipment on the M1936 pistol belt. Also suitable for historical re-enactment and collections.

Installation notes

Clips attach to the grommets of the M1936 pistol belt (3 rows: top row for suspenders, middle for buckle, bottom for holsters and pouches). Shoulder straps are adjustable in length. The suspenders can also be used with the M1936 musette bag as a rucksack via the D-rings.

Compatibility

Designed for M1936 pistol belt, M1936 Garand belt and BAR belt. Not compatible with later M1956 or M1967 webbing systems. Early war khaki colour differs from later OD#3 (Olive Drab) colour.

Historical context

The M1936 suspenders were introduced as part of the US Army M1936 webbing system. They were widely deployed during WWII, from the beaches of Normandy to the Pacific islands, and remained in service until the introduction of the M1956 system.
