Installation notes
CAUTION: this flywheel is pre-drilled for 4 straight 3/8" bolts and 2 tapered flywheel bolts with 3/8" UNF thread. If your crankshaft is fitted with 4×3/8" bolts and 2 larger straight 9/16" bolts, the two holes must be reamed to 9/16" diameter. Follow the Willys factory procedure using a 35/64" drill followed by a 9/16" reamer.
Compatibility
Suitable for early L-134 engines with timing marks on the flywheel (timing hole cover on the rear engine plate). Not suitable for late engines with timing marks on the front pulley and cover. Always check the bolt configuration of your crankshaft before fitting.
Historical context
The flywheel with integrated ring gear formed a crucial component of the robust Willys L-134 'Go Devil' drivetrain that gave WWII jeeps their legendary reliability.
