Crankshaft oil slinger gasket

For 4-134 L-head and F-head engine

Replacement gasket for the crankshaft oil slinger on the 134 ci Go Devil and Hurricane engine. This gasket ensures a proper seal between the oil slinger and the timing cover, and helps prevent oil leakage at the front crankshaft oil seal.

Application

4-134 L-head / F-head engine

Position

Crankshaft oil slinger

Function

Timing cover seal

Willys part no.

WO-334103

Features

  • Gasket for crankshaft oil slinger
  • Prevents oil leakage at front crankshaft seal
  • Suitable for L-134 and F-134 engines
  • Replacement part for timing cover assembly
  • Essential during timing cover overhaul

★ Quality gasket for reliable sealing of the crankshaft oil slinger. Indispensable during any timing cover overhaul.

Application

Fits all vehicles with Willys 4-134 ci engine: Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945), CJ-2A (1946-1949), CJ-3A (1949-1953), CJ-3B (1953-1964), M38 (1950-1952). For both L-head (Go Devil) and F-head (Hurricane) versions.

Installation notes

The oil slinger is mounted on the crankshaft behind the timing gear, with this gasket between the slinger and timing cover. During installation, fit the gasket dry or according to manufacturer's instructions. The timing cover must be completely clean and flat for proper sealing. The oil slinger prevents oil from reaching the front crankshaft seal.

Compatibility

Note: both early engines with chain drive (MB/GPW/early CJ-2A) and later engines with gear drive (late CJ-2A/CJ-3A/CJ-3B/M38) use an oil slinger with gasket. Fits all 4-134 engines regardless of version.

Historical context

The crankshaft oil slinger was originally fitted to all Willys 134 ci engines from MB/GPW production onwards. The design prevents engine oil from being flung towards the timing cover seal, which significantly extends the seal's service life.
