GASKETS CRANKSHAFT REAR SET
WO800093
Crankshaft rear main seal
Neoprene version with gasket strips
Improved gasket set for the crankshaft rear end, suitable for L-134 'Go Devil' and F-134 'Hurricane' four-cylinder engines. This modern neoprene version offers significantly better sealing than the original rope seal and eliminates the typical oil leakage at the flywheel side.

Material Neoprene with rubber gasket strips |
Type Two-piece (upper and lower) |
|
Kit contents 2 crankshaft seals + 2 gasket strips |
Version Narrow variant — modern replacement |
Features
- Neoprene material — superior to classic rope seal
- Two-piece design: block upper half + bearing cap lower half
- Supplied including rubber gasket strips (dowels)
- Suitable for both L-134 and F-134 four-cylinder engines
- Compatible with both chain-driven and gear-driven camshaft
★ This set replaces the original asbestos-impregnated rope seal with a reliable neoprene seal. Significantly more effective against oil leakage and easier to fit than the classic rope type.
Application
For all vehicles fitted with Willys L-134 or F-134 four-cylinder engine as listed in the product category. Suitable for both early versions with chain driven camshaft and later versions with gear driven camshaft. OE reference: 800093 / 800093K.
Installation notes
Note: fitting requires loosening all crankshaft bearing caps and tilting/lowering the crankshaft. Remove sump. After fitting, retighten all bearing caps to the correct torque and check crankshaft rotation each time to avoid binding. Some sets must be trimmed to fit the caps — trim gasket strips if necessary. This is NOT a repair that can be carried out without manipulating the crankshaft.
Compatibility
Important: this neoprene version is NOT interchangeable with the classic rope seal. When the engine originally had a rope seal, you must use this neoprene version as an upgrade. If crankshaft sealing surfaces are damaged (grooving from the old seal), check the crankshaft surface first before fitting. Not suitable for 6-cylinder engines.
Historical context
The Willys L-134 'Go Devil' engine (1941-1953) and the F-134 'Hurricane' (1950-1971) originally used asbestos-impregnated rope seals at the rear of the crankshaft. This modern neoprene version has been developed as a reliable replacement that eliminates the typical oil leakage of the original design.
