Installation notes
Note: connecting rods for cylinders 2 & 4 are NOT interchangeable with connecting rods for cylinders 1 & 3 due to the offset construction. The short side of the offset must point towards the nearest crankshaft bearing. The oil squirt hole must always point away from the camshaft. Always verify that the connecting rod is centred in the piston after assembly.
Compatibility
This connecting rod is only suitable for positions 2 and 4 in the engine. Never use a connecting rod for cylinders 1/3 in position 2/4 or vice versa — this will result in incorrect alignment and engine damage. All four connecting rods must be weight-matched (within a few grammes) for optimal engine balance.
