Application
For use in rebored L-134 and F-134 engines. The standard bore of 3.125" (79.4 mm) is rebored to 3.185" (80.9 mm). In cases of severe cylinder wear, reboring to.060 oversize may be necessary. Available alongside standard size,.020,.030,.040 oversize versions.
Installation notes
Cylinders must be professionally rebored and honed to exact.060 oversize dimension. Check cylinder dimensions with precision measuring equipment. Pistons and pins must be correctly assembled into the connecting rods. Set piston ring gap according to factory specifications. Run engine in with moderate load during first 500 miles.
Compatibility
Fits both L-head (flathead) and F-head (overhead valve) 134 ci engines after reboring. NOT compatible with standard or smaller oversize cylinders — cylinders must be rebored exactly to.060". Combine with matching piston rings size.060 oversize.
Historical context
The Willys L-134 "Go Devil" engine was produced from 1941 until the late 1960s and powered all military and many civilian Jeeps. Oversize pistons were available as standard for engine repairs in field conditions and depot maintenance.
