Oil pump to block gasket

For L-134 and F-134 engines with gear drive

Sealing gasket between oil pump and engine block for Willys L-134 and F-134 four-cylinder engines. Essential component to prevent oil leakage at the oil pump mounting point. Manufactured from heat-resistant gasket material.

Material

Paper/composite gasket material

Engine type

L-134 and F-134 with gear drive

Application

Oil pump housing seal

Quantity

1 piece

Features

  • Suitable for L-134 and F-134 engines with gear-driven camshaft
  • Fits between oil pump housing and engine block
  • Prevents oil leakage at oil pump side
  • Always replace when removing oil pump
  • Heat-resistant gasket material

★ Use a thin layer of Permatex or similar oil-resistant sealer on the block side for optimal sealing.

Application

Suitable for late CJ-2A (with gear drive from approx. 1946), CJ-3A, CJ-3B, M38, M38A1 and early CJ-5 vehicles fitted with L-134 Go-Devil or F-134 Hurricane engine. Not suitable for early MB/GPW with chain-driven camshaft.

Installation notes

Remove all traces of old gasket and oil from both surfaces. Apply a thin layer of oil-resistant sealer to the block side of the gasket. Leave the pump side dry for reusability. Tighten mounting bolts evenly according to factory specifications.

Compatibility

PLEASE NOTE: This gasket is ONLY suitable for engines with gear-driven camshaft (gear drive). NOT compatible with early Willys MB and Ford GPW engines fitted with chain drive. Check your engine specification before ordering.

Historical context

The transition from chain to gear drive for the oil pump occurred during late wartime production and the early post-war period, making this gasket necessary for all CJ and M38-series vehicles.
