The adjusting screw is threaded into the lifter and can only be replaced by removing the cylinder head and withdrawing the relevant valve. When adjusting valve clearance: rotating one hexagon flat corresponds to 0.007" (0.18 mm) change in valve clearance. Normal adjustment for the L-134: 0.014" to 0.016" (0.36-0.41 mm) valve clearance.
