★ Accurate reproduction of the original accelerator pedal, manufactured to WWII specifications for authentic restorations.

Application

Fits Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945), Hotchkiss M201, CJ-2A (1945-1949), CJ-3A (1949-1953), M38 (1950-1952) and CJ-3B. These models use a mechanical throttle cable construction with pedal, hinge and connecting rod to the carburettor.

Installation notes

The accelerator pedal mounts to the hinge (part number 640482/650482) which is fixed to the driver's compartment floor. The first connecting rod runs from the pedal to the rest of the throttle mechanism towards the carburettor. Before installation, check that the hinge, pin and return spring are in good condition.

Compatibility

This is the standard accelerator pedal for all WWII jeeps (MB/GPW/M201) and early civilian models with L-134 engine. Please note: some pedals have an 'F' marking (Ford specification), but both types are functionally interchangeable. For CJ-3B models with F-134 engine: verify that your assembly is identical to earlier models.

Historical context

The accelerator pedal was originally part of the mechanical throttle control system on all WWII quarter-ton jeeps. Due to its simple design and robust construction, this design remained unchanged well into the 1950s.
