Installation notes
This bracket is mounted to the inside of the wing with 5/16" bolts. Depending on the build year of the bodywork, cage nuts may be present behind the wing or standard hexagonal nuts must be used at the rear. Note: two brackets required per vehicle (left and right – see article 640947 for the right-hand side).
Compatibility
Late type – not compatible with early 'pancake' AC-style air filters from before 1942. Specific to the Oakes oil-bath air filter as used from mid-1942 onwards. Early vehicles with AC air filter use a different bracket type (A1279 left / A1278 right).
