PUMP FUEL 2 VALVES ORIGINAL TYPE (GLAS)
Fuel pump assy with AC Bowl.
Original multi membrane design.
Built to withstand modern fuels.
Fuel pump with glass bowl — 2 valves — original type
Single-action mechanical pump with hand primer
Mechanical fuel pump in original specification with glass sediment bowl and hand primer lever. This single-action pump is suitable for Willys and Ford 134 ci engines and is supplied complete with brass shut-off valves, screen and mounting gasket. The glass bowl functions as a sediment trap and allows visual inspection of fuel supply.

★ Replica of the original AC fuel pump as originally fitted to Willys MB, Ford GPW and early CJ models. The glass bowl is an inverted sediment bowl that allows visual inspection of fuel flow.
Application
Fits Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945), Willys CJ-2A (1946-1949), CJ-3A (1949-1953) with L-head 134 ci engine. Also suitable for CJ-3B (1953-1964), M38, M38A1, CJ-5 (1955-1971) and CJ-6 with F-head 134 ci engine where no vacuum connection for windscreen wipers is required. For vehicles with vacuum windscreen wipers, a dual-action pump with vacuum port is necessary.
Installation notes
Pay attention to correct mounting distance from pump arm to mounting face (1-1/4" to centre). For certain applications (CJ-3A, CJV-35/U, M38), a spacer between pump and engine block is required — absence of this spacer can cause excessive fuel pressure. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the block side of the gasket. Ensure cam lobe is under pump arm during installation. Hand primer lever is useful after prolonged standing to fill carburettor without loading starter motor.
Compatibility
This is a single-action pump WITHOUT vacuum port. Not suitable for vehicles with vacuum-operated windscreen wipers (various M38, M38A1, CJ-3B with vacuum wipers). For those applications, a dual-action pump (AC 9353, AC 4032, AC 4080) is required. Fits both L-head (flathead) and F-head (overhead valve) 134 ci engines. The glass bowl is characteristic of early specifications — later AC pumps (1960s-70s) used metal bowls.
Historical context
AC fuel pumps with glass bowl were standard on the Willys MB and Ford GPW until 1945, and on early CJ-2A and CJ-3A models. The glass bowl — actually an inverted sediment bowl — allowed visual inspection of fuel supply and sediment, a practical feature in times of variable fuel quality during and shortly after WWII.
