CAP GAS TANK SMALL EARLY TYPE
Here is an example of an early fuel filler cap for the Willys MB (1941–early 1942) – without screw thread, using a bayonet lock system.
This cap has a flat top, usually finished in Olive Drab (OD), and in the earliest versions came without a chain.
From available sources and TM manuals, this type is specific to the very first Willys MB “slat grille” and early Ford GPW models.
