Application
Suitable for all metal fuel tanks of military vehicles, vintage cars and motorcycles. For a tank up to 20 litres, 500 ml is sufficient. Not suitable for aluminium tanks.
Installation notes
First clean the tank with Cleaner. Pour the Rust Remover into the tank and shake regularly. For heavily rusted tanks, add a handful of coarse gravel or chipboard screws to loosen mechanically. Do not allow the Rust Remover to work for too long. After treatment, rinse thoroughly with water to neutralise the acid action. Dry the tank completely before applying coating.
Compatibility
ONLY for steel fuel tanks. NOT suitable for aluminium, plastic or fibreglass tanks. Must not be used in combination with alkaline solutions (toilet cleaner, etc.) - always rinse thoroughly with water after using other products. Works best in combination with products that are specially coordinated.
Historical context
Traditional rust removal process for restoration of military vehicles and classic motorcycles. Rust formation in fuel tanks has long been a major problem, worsened since the introduction of ethanol-containing fuels which attack metal more rapidly.
