Type

2-component epoxy coating

Application

Fuel tanks

Vehicle

Willys MB, CJ-2A, CJ-3A, CJ-3B, M38, M38A1

Properties

Rust-inhibiting, leak-sealing, fuel-resistant

Features

  • 2-component epoxy system with excellent fuel and oil resistance
  • Removes rust and seals leaks in seams and small holes
  • Suitable for metal fuel tanks up to 15-20 litres
  • Resistant to modern fuels with bio-ethanol (up to 10%)
  • Minimum 7 days curing time at room temperature

★ Proven system since 1994 for professional tank restoration. For optimal results, first clean and derust tank according to instructions.

Application

Suitable for fuel tanks of Willys MB, Ford GPW, CJ-2A, CJ-3A, CJ-3B, M38 and M38A1. Tank must be completely clean, degreased and dry before application. Ideal for tanks with interior rust, leaking seams or small holes.

Installation notes

Mix both components thoroughly and pour into the tank. Seal the filler opening and slowly rotate the tank in all directions for 15-20 minutes so the coating reaches all surfaces. Drain excess coating and allow to cure for at least 7 days at room temperature before reusing the tank.

Compatibility

Not suitable for tanks containing more than 10% bio-ethanol fuel. Do not add aggressive carburettor cleaners to fuel after treatment. If uncertain about tank size: 450 grammes is sufficient for tanks up to 15-20 litres (standard jeep tanks).

Historical context

has been successfully applied since 1994 in the Netherlands, Germany, England and Belgium for restoring classic vehicle tanks. The 2-component system guarantees a professional and durable result.
