Clamp is positioned on the connection between exhaust pipe and muffler. Ensure correct alignment of the exhaust pipe before tightening the clamp. Check that rubber mountings are correctly positioned to dampen vibrations.

Note: this is the standard WWII version. Very late war jeeps with deep mud exhaust (exhaust to rear) used a different clamp. This clamp fits standard side exhaust versions with muffler on passenger side.
