The headlamp mounts to the headlamp bracket behind the grille. Preferably fit the headlamp brackets and wiring before mounting the grille on the vehicle — this saves considerable work. The headlamp can tilt upwards 90° for engine access.
Compatibility
Note: WWII jeeps use smaller 5¾" headlamps mounted behind the grille. Later civilian jeeps (CJ-2A onwards) have larger 7" headlamps mounted on the grille — these are NOT interchangeable. For 12V converted vehicles: use a 12V sealed beam unit.
