Installation notes
The steering box of the Ross gear is filled via the filler plug at the top to the correct level. When changing oil, first remove the drain plug at the bottom, allow to drain completely, refit the drain plug and then refill with SAE 90 gearbox oil to the correct level. Do not use grease — only SAE 90 oil ensures correct lubrication of the worm and sector shaft bushings.
