Large Rear 11 Leaf Spring Suspension Clamp for Ford GPW
NOS
Large rear spring clamp for 9-leaf rear spring
Ford GPW version with riveted fastening
This large spring clamp holds the leaves of the rear leaf spring together on the Ford GPW. Unlike the Willys MB which used bent metal bands, Ford applied typical clamped versions on the GPW with a riveted bolt and nut. Per 9-leaf rear spring, two large and two small clamps are required.

- Per rear spring: 2 large clamps + 2 small clamps required
★ Authentic reproduction of the Ford GPW spring clamp as Ford applied it instead of the Willys band clamps. Essential component when restoring Ford GPW leaf springs.
Installation notes
The spring clamp is bent around the spring pack and riveted at the top. Use per 9-leaf rear spring 2 large clamps (GPW-5724C) and 2 small clamps (GPW-5724A). For 11-leaf late-war spring systems, 4 large and 4 small clamps per set are likewise required.
Compatibility
Please note: Ford GPW used riveted spring clamps, whilst Willys MB applied bent metal band clamps. These are not interchangeable in terms of original correctness. For correct Ford restoration, the GPW clamps with riveted bolt are essential.
Historical context
Ford reused for the GPW the spring clamp design from the Model A with code 5330, but adapted this for the thicker spring packs of the GPW. Where the Model A still used a stamped pin, Ford switched on the GPW to riveted fastening.
