Poppet Ball Shift Rail T84 Gearbox

Detent ball for shift rod Willys MB Ford GPW

Steel detent ball (poppet ball) for the shift rails of the T84 gearbox. Used in combination with the poppet spring to hold the shift rods in position during gear changes. Essential component to prevent jumping out of gear.

★ Common problem with T84 gearboxes that shift poorly or jump out of gear: corroded or weak poppet springs and worn detent balls. Replace both components during overhaul for smooth gear changing.
