Shift fork 2nd and 3rd gear T84

Original part number 636196 - for Willys MB and Ford GPW

High-quality reproduction of the shift fork for 2nd and 3rd gear of the T84 transmission. This shift fork (also known as 'high intermediate shift fork') moves the synchronizer sleeve to engage 2nd and 3rd gear. Essential component during transmission overhaul or when worn after 70+ years of use.

Application

T84 transmission - 2nd and 3rd gear

Suitable for

Willys MB (1941-1945), Ford GPW (1941-1945)

Original no.

636196 (Willys-Overland)

Features

  • Moves the synchronizer sleeve for 2nd and 3rd gear Locked onto shift rail A1155 with lock screw (636200) Engages in the groove of the synchronizer hub assembly Replacement when fork groove worn from years of use Compatible with standard T84 shift rails and poppet balls

★ The 2nd/3rd shift fork often shows more wear than the 1st/reverse fork due to more frequent use of these gears. When experiencing shifting problems (difficult engagement in 2nd or 3rd), a worn fork is often the cause. Check the thickness of the fork in the synchronizer sleeve - wear causes excessive play.
