Essential paper gasket fitted between the T84 transmission and Dana 18 transfer case to prevent oil leaks. This gasket forms a critical seal at the mating surface where both components are assembled together.

★ This gasket is an often overlooked but essential component when separating or reassembling transmission and transfer case. Preferably use in combination with gasket kit or Permatex gasket sealer for optimal sealing.
📖 From the Technical Manual
Mounting
- 1. Thoroughly clean both surfaces of all old gasket and oil residue 2. Place new gasket on transfer case surface 3. Align transfer case with transmission ensuring rear bearing does not come loose 4. Do not forget to refit interlock plunger (hold with thick axle grease) 5. Fit mainshaft gear and oil slingers before completing assembly
