PLATE LOCKER 2ND/3RD FORK SHAFT CAP T84
2nd/3rd gear shaft interlock T84
Shift rail interlock for Warner T84 gearbox
Essential safety component for the T84 gearbox that prevents multiple gears from being engaged simultaneously. This interlock sits between gearbox and transfer case and blocks the shift rails when a gear is engaged.
|
Application 2nd/3rd gear shift rail (T84) |
Vehicle Willys MB, Ford GPW (1941-1945) |
|
Location Between gearbox and transfer case |
Features
- Prevents double gear engagement (safety interlock) Sits in the notches of the shift rails Moves freely sideways when both rails are in neutral Essential during any T84 rebuild or overhaul Forgetting installation causes shifting and locking problems
★ Critical safety component — without correct operation, the T84 can shift into two gears simultaneously with severe damage as a result. Wear in the rail notches is a common cause of 'locked in neutral' problems.
📖 From the Technical Manual
Mounting
