RAIL SHIFT TRANSMISSION FIRST/REVERSE GEAR T84
Shift Rail First/Reverse Gear T84 Transmission
Low & Reverse Shift Rail for Warner T84J transmission
Shift rail for first gear and reverse in the Warner T84J gearbox. This component guides the shift fork for the non-synchronised low and reverse gears and is essential for correct shifting function in the original WWII Willys MB and Ford GPW transmission.
Application T84 transmission — Low & Reverse shift rail | Vehicles Willys MB 1941-1945, Ford GPW 1941-1945 |
Length 6-15/16 inch (approx. 176 mm) |
Features
- Shift rail for first and reverse gear in Warner T84J transmission Guides the low & reverse shift fork through the transmission housing Features groove for shift fork lock screw and opening for interlock plunger Essential during complete T84 overhaul or when rail is worn/damaged Compatible with original Warner shift forks and interlock system
★ The T84 has synchronisation only on second and third gear — first and reverse are non-synchronised and require double-declutching when driving. This shift rail is therefore not subject to synchroniser wear, but can be damaged by incorrect shifting movement or wear of the interlock plungers.
