★ The Warner T84 gearbox is a 3-speed gearbox with synchronised 2nd and 3rd gear. The brass blocking rings form the heart of this synchronisation mechanism: they press against the conical surfaces of the gears to bring them to speed before the gear engages. Worn blocking rings with rounded teeth or grooves must be replaced for correct operation.
