For 7/8" sector shaft
Side cover for the Ross cam-and-lever steering box as originally fitted to WWII military jeeps. This cover seals the sector shaft side of the steering box and contains the adjustment screw for setting steering system play. Essential component when overhauling the Ross steering box.

Installation notes
Fit with new gasket (WO-639119) and use hardened fasteners. Adjust sector shaft play via the adjustment screw in the cover — turn until slight resistance is felt at centre position, without binding at full lock positions. Do not forget to tighten the lock nut after adjustment.
Compatibility
Fits Ross steering boxes with 7/8" sector shaft (twin-stud version). NOT suitable for earlier 3/4" sector shaft models. Check the stamp on your steering box — must read "ROSS". Please note: this is the side cover, not the top cover of the steering box.
